Joelle Jacobson, M.A., L.M.F.T., P.P.S. has been working in the mental health field for twenty years, both as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in private practice, as a School Counselor and in the recovery field working with substance use disorder and eating disorders.

Ms. Jacobson spent the better part of 10 years in private practice and working as a counselor in an all-girls high school. During her tenure there,she created the human development curriculum and a program for positive body image. Joelle also recognized a need for diversity sensitivity training and instituted a program to generate better relations among the student body. In 2008, she founded her company, Teen Talk Line, to provide counseling and resources to adolescent girls, young adult women and their families in a private practice setting and via TeleHealth.

Along with her private practice in Los Angeles, Ms. Jacobson works for the Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation, a national addiction treatment program; in-network with all major insurance carriers making treatment more accessible. Prior to joining the Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation, she provided clinical outreach services at Center for Discovery, a national treatment program for mental health, eating disorders and addiction.At the Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation, Joelleu tilizes her substantial background as a therapist, combined with her work as a treatment placement specialist. She educate sthose in the mental health,addiction, medical and academic communities through speaking engagements, radio talk shows and social media.Ms. Jacobson is passionate about raising awareness oft he disease of addiction, reducing the stigma of mental illness and encouraging those struggling with trauma, grief and loss to seek professional support.Joelle currently resides in Los Angeles with her husband, two children and three rescue dogs
