Stephanie Gilmore, Ph.D. is an activist, artist, educator, and writer whose work focuses on sexual violence and dismantling rape culture.
After 8 years as a professor, Gilmore left the academy and began traveling around the country to follow student activism to end sexual violence on college campuses. She has spoken at over 35 colleges and universities across the United States.
In February 2016, she founded Artists Against Sexual Violence, an Alabama- based artist collective that sells original paintings and prints to raise funds to give talks and workshops to groups that cannot afford travel or speaking fees or supplies for workshops. She has gallery space at The ARTery in historic Five Points in Huntsville, AL.
